Wolves To Roam Raleigh Through April

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Raleigh's

Red Wolf Ramble

will be staying around four months longer than originally scheduled.

The Raleigh Arts Commision said that the extension was due to some wolves getting a late start being displayed. It also hopes that doing so will keep the community interested in the artwork.

The display features more than 100 life-sized fiberglass red wolves created by North Carolina artists and placed around the city in parks, shopping centers, small businesses and downtown locations.

The display was originally scheduled to run through Raleigh's First Night 2002 festivities.

In April, the wolves will be auctioned at an event at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
