Victim Who Lost Brother In Attacks Claims Airstrikes Will Bring Sense Of Justice

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The airstrikes in Afghanistan certainly cannot bring back the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, but one Chapel Hill man who lost his brother says they can bring a degree of justice.

Michael Quackenbush's brother, Chris, was in the World Trade Center when the second plane hit into the tower he worked in.

"This country stands for freedom, liberty, justice and those are the things that we need to defend," Quackenbush said.

Chris Quackenbush graduated from UNC in 1979 and had a reputation for giving to his alma mater and many other causes. He leaves behind a wife and three young children.
