Florida man is Bragg Trooper of the Year

Spc. Chad Hendricks was named the 82nd Airborne Division Trooper of the Year at Fort Bragg during a celebration Thursday capping the annual All American Week on the post.
Hendricks, 26, an infantry mortar-man with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, credits his work ethic to his father, a heavy equipment operator in Florida. “My dad is the most honest, hard-working man I’ve ever met,” Hendricks said.
He used that example as he trained daily for the Trooper of the Year. “There’s only one way to win," Hendricks said. "It’s going to be the guy who is most prepared.”
Hendricks praised the knowledge and example provided by the non-commissioned officers who support his career.
