Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolina State University wrapped up students' first week back on campus with a Stop Hunger Now meal-packaging project to benefit Haiti relief.
The students hoped to send 400,000 meals to Haiti and raise $50,000 in donations. The event was held at the Carmichael Gymnasium and the Talley Student Center.
A student blood drive for the American Red Cross was also held Saturday at the Carmichael Gymnasium.
The Service NC State (SNCS) weekend was designed to introduce new students to the university's community of service.
