New campus rabbi serves at Duke

Duke University's new campus rabbi began serving his congregation Tuesday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Duke University's new campus rabbi began serving his congregation Tuesday.

Rabbi Jeremy Yoskowitz, previously campus rabbi at at the Solomon Schechter Academy in Dallas, succeeds Rabbi Michael Goldman, who is now an assistant rabbi at a congregation in White Plains, N.Y.

Yoskowitz graduated from Washington University in St Louis in 1997 with degrees in psychology and Jewish and Near Eastern studies.

He was ordained as a rabbi at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York in 2008, where he also earned a master's degree in Jewish education.

Yoskowitz said in a statement that one of his primary goals is to increase the level of interaction between the various faiths on campus.
