IT list: SAS among best places to work

SAS, the world’s largest privately held software company that is based in Cary, ranks sixth in the latest “Best Places to Work in IT 2010” from Computerworld.

RALEIGH, N.C. — SAS, the world’s largest privately held software company that is based in Cary, ranks sixth in the latest “Best Places to Work in IT 2010” from Computerworld.

SAS is recognized worldwide year in and year out for its benefits and low employee turnover.

Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) came in 95th. The world’s top Linux software developer and services provider is based in Raleigh.

USAA ranked first followed by Booz Allen Hamilton, JM Family, General Mills and the University of Pennsylvania.

Some 38,000 IT workers participated in the survey.
