Firefighters, churches team up in toy drive
Benson firefighters expect up to 1,000 families to show up to a toy drive organized by seven Johnston County churches Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedBENSON, N.C. — Benson firefighters expect up to 1,000 families to show up to a toy drive organized by seven Johnston County churches Saturday.
Toys and clothes can be donated at the Benson Fire Station, 313 S. Elm St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Between 700 and 1,000 families are expected to show up during the "Christ Christmas Closet Drive," firefighters said.
