RALEIGH, N.C. — Teachers and parents worked behind the counter Oct. 28 at their local McDonald's to raise more than $20,000 for Triangle-area schools.

A portion of the proceeds from sales during the McTeacher’s Night fundraiser were returned to 57 participating schools.

Carol Martin, owner of a Raleigh McDonald’s, said, “We’ve always been committed to education, and this is one more way for us to show how much we appreciate teachers and schools for the important work they do with our children. The teachers have fun, the kids have fun and we love partnering with schools in this unique venture.”
