Church's sale benefits Mayan group

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Chapel Hill church will sell handwoven clothing and decorations Saturday to benefit the Mayan Indians in the western highlands of Guatemala.

The 22nd annual Mayan Weaving Sale will be hosted by the Church of Reconciliation, 110 N. Elliott Road in Chapel Hill from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the sale of wall hangings, fabric, tablecloths, and traditional clothing made by Mayans support health, education and agriculture projects in Guatemala.

A continental breakfast will also be available.
