NC Field of Honor salutes soldiers and veterans

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The North Carolina Field of Honor will open after a dedication ceremony on the parade grounds of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville Saturday at 11 a.m.

One thousand American flags will be placed on the grounds in honor of the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the military, as well as those who have died in the line of duty. Each flag will have a tag on it identifying the person who sponsored the flag and the flag honoree.

The ceremony is free and open to the public. Flags can be sponsored for $25, and all proceeds from the Field of Honor will benefit the Airborne and Special Operations Museum Foundation.
