CLAYTON — Earth 2100 (spelled as earth2100) is a television program that will be presented by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) network airing on June 2nd, 2009 from 9 to 11 pm Eastern time.[1]. Hosted by ABC journalist Bob Woodruff, the two-hour special intends to explore the future consequences to occur if humans do not take action on current or impending problems that could threaten civilization. The problems addressed in the program include climate change, overpopulation, and misuse of energy resources.[2]
The program is to include projections of the state of a dystopian Earth in the years 2015, 2050, and 2100 by lead scientists, historians, and economists.[1]
Viewers are invited to participate in the program. They are able to submit their own videos that pertain to events which are relevant and concurrent to the subjects addressed in the program.
