New Bern man arrested for soliciting teen

— Nash County sheriff's deputies arrested a New Bern man Friday, after he allegedly attempted to solicit a teen for sex.

Michael Edward Crawford Jr., 26, of 7165 U.S. Highway 70 East, used the Internet to contact an undercover agent posing as a teen. A search of Crawford's home yielded illegal drugs and weapons as well.

Crawford was charged with soliciting a child by computer, disseminating harmful material to minors and indecent liberties with a child. He was held on $100,000 bond.

Additional charged related to the drugs found in his home are pending.

    I just can't believe how sick and stupid these folks are! It is all over the news that the law is out there looking for internet predators! They have to be so sick they aren't thinking@!
