North Carolina State University issued a campus-wide alert Tuesday night after a student was robbed on the steps of Mann Hall.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — North Carolina State University issued a campus-wide alert Tuesday night after a student was robbed on the steps of Mann Hall.

Campus police said the student was sitting outside the building on the steps at about 9:45 p.m. when a man approached from behind, threatened him and took his laptop.

Campus police did not offer any additional detail to describe the thief.
