April is North Carolina Beer Month, and to celebrate, breweries and restaurants across the state are planning fun and exciting events for beer-lovers.

RALEIGH, N.C. — April is North Carolina Beer Month, and to celebrate, breweries and restaurants across the state are planning fun and exciting events for beer-lovers.
If you're looking for a weekend getaway, there are many vacation packages available on the NC Beer Month website – look under "Promotions." They have also conveniently listed Beer Trip Ideas to help guide your getaway, from the mountains to the Outer Banks.

Even if you can't leave the Triangle, there are plenty of events and specials nearby to celebrate the state's growing craft brewery movement:

Beer Specials

Bean & Barrel in Chapel Hill will have specials on NC beer all month long.
The Aviator Brewing Company Tap House is offering $5 beer flights of four 4-ounce beers.
Woody's at City Market has $2.50 NC drafts every Monday and $3.50 rotating NC brews on Wednesdays.

Restaurant Beer Pairings

Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen in Cary is creating a special beer pairing menu that includes local beer and local ingredients in April.
The Oxford and Carolina Brewing Company are pairing up for a Beer Month dinner on April 8. Dinner includes dishes such as duck and shiitake ravioli, spiced buffalo flat iron steak and sweet carrot cake, all paired with craft brews.
Mura has organized a beer dinner on April 15 with White Street Brewing Company – and they'll be unveiling a new beer at the event! The menu includes O Toro sushi, Scottish Ale braised pork belly and chocolate torte.
Cameron Bar and Grill and Foothills Brewing Company put together a five-course dinner pairing on April 22 for Beer Month. Dishes include pilsner onion soup, sweet potato pancakes and a grilled adobo hanger steak.

Beer Events

Lucky 32 in Cary is hosting a Beer Cooking Class with Big Boss Brewing Company on April 6. They are also holding a Beer School and book signing event featuring Mystery Brewing on April 18.
The Pepper's Chilibrew Fest at Koka Booth Amphitheater will have over 75 craft beers and 10 types of chili to try. This is always a popular event!
Carolina Brewery & Grill in Pittsboro is hosting a Spring Fling event celebrating their newest beer. There will be food and drink, cornhole, live music and more.
The World Beer Festival is on April 13 at Moore Square. With your ticket you get unlimited 2-ounce tastings. This event sold out last year!
White Street Brewing Company is holding a Homebrew Competition on April 20. Entry to the competition is only for White Street Brewer's Guild members, but the general public can sign up to be judges for the event.
Brewgaloo is coming back even bigger this year with more craft breweries and food trucks. The event is April 27 at Raleigh City Plaza, and general admission is free.

Grand Openings

Deep River Brewing Company in Clayton is having a grand opening celebration on April 6. Tickets include samples of all their beers on tap, a souvenir glass, a 22-ounce bottle of beer to take home, live music and more.
