— A North Carolina State University student was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon while standing at a Wolfline bus stop at the intersection of Gorman Street and Conifer Drive, according to a university crime alert.

The student was robbed of money and a cell phone at approximately 6:47 p.m. after he was approached by two men, including one holding a gun. The student was not injured.

Police could only provide a very limited description of the two suspects. Both suspects left the area on foot and were seen traveling south on Crest Road toward Avent Ferry Road.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact N.C. State University police.

More officers is needed on these campuses to make it safer for students that live there and attend classes.

In October at least two people had the exact same thing happen in the warehouse district. PSA for those that live nearby.

So you're saying that robberies happen in places where large numbers of people are clustered?

You don't know what the outcome might have been had victim also been carrying a gun. So your point is?
Read more at http://www.wral.com/n-c-state-student-robbed-at-gunpoint/14193968/#ITjbyk6JwPioRWPR.99............. My point is that IF he wanted to carry a gun he couldn't because of someone else's fear of them....
Again, this was not on campus, and in what whacko world would anyone think letting college students run around toting guns would be a good idea?

You are assuming two things. 1. that everying criminal that goes to rob someone is level headed and will just get what he wants and run off. (Yes this is what happened here, but when a gun is pointed at you, the assumption is that you are about to get shot). 2. you are assuming that everyone considers the best case scenario to be a successful robbery were the suspects and victim are unharmed and all is lost is property. That is not the best case scenario to me. Best case is the criminal who points a gun at me, gets put down. (yes there is risk involved, and yes the criminals have the advantange in a situation where i pull my concealed carry, but not everyone is ok with being a victim.) I'd rather get killed defending myself then get killed handing over my stuff.

LOL Or, as the article says at the time it was written, "Police could only provide a very limited description of the two suspects." and there is no secret silent conspiracy. (shrug)

And, it's not like there are tons of reporters these days just sitting around calling every cop, every hour, on every story...for updates. This is a free service and they have a budget too. Sheesh.

Can you post without juvenile name calling. You are a perfect example why people do not take liberals seriously.

Someone needs to call WRAL on their unprofessional ism. Not everyone is a sheep that believes all the PC garbage put out by WRAL.
