APEX, N.C. — N.C. Highway 751 in Chatham County was closed Thursday morning for a movie shooting, the state Department of Transportation announced.

The closure will last through late Saturday. A specific time was not given.

The highway will be reopened between 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 6-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. Friday to let rush-hour traffic through. If traffic gets backed up on the detour, the highway will also be reopened, DOT officials said.

A local crew is filming a made-for-TV movie called "The Carrington Event."

N.C. 751 is closed north of U.S. Highway 64, near Horton Pond Road, east of Jordan Lake.

Drivers will be detoured off U.S. 64 to go north on Farrington Point Road. Take a right onto Horton Pond Road to return to N.C. 751.

Southbound traffic on N.C. 751 will be turned right onto Horton Pond Road, then left onto Farrington Point Road to reach U.S. 64.
