A 23-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Thursday evening when he collided with another vehicle in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 23-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Thursday evening when he collided with another vehicle in Raleigh.

Rossano Charles Gardner was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle on North New Hope Road around 6:45 p.m., according to the Raleigh Police Department. Gardner and Johnny Gregory Melton, 62, who was driving a Kia sedan, collided at the intersection with Corporation Parkway.

Gardner was transported to the hospital, and Melton was not injured, officials said.

The crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed.
