Motorcyclist killed in Wake County wreck

— A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck with a car near Falls Lake in Wake County on Friday night, the Highway Patrol said.

The wreck happened along the 4300 block of Old Weaver Trail. Troopers said the driver of the car turned left in front of the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Randy Lewis, 62, of Wake Forest, was thrown from the bike.

The driver of the car, Brenda Gurley, of Creedmoor, was taken to Durham Regional with non life-threatening injuries.

    I ride old weaver almost every day, it's a great mc road.
    Most of mc deaths occur from cagers pulling out in front of a bike. Please keep this in mind when you are crossing the right of way.
