Just before traditional calendar students get back to the classroom, Mordecai Historic Park will offer one of its semi-annual Free Friday programs on Aug. 21.

Just before traditional calendar students get back to the classroom, Mordecai Historic Park will offer one of its semi-annual Free Friday programs on Aug. 21.
The park, which sits just outside of downtown Raleigh, will offer free tours of the Mordecai House, grounds and outbuildings. Tours start every 30 minutes with the first tour at 10 a.m. and the last tour at 3 p.m. Each tour runs about 50 minutes.
If you go, you could pair a trip here with nearby Mordecai Mini Park, Escazu Artisan Chocolates and Yellow Dog Bread Company - all within walking distance.
