Moped driver killed in wreck near Hope Mills
A moped driver was killed Friday night when he collided with a van on U.S. Highway 301 north of Hope Mills in Cumberland County, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedHOPE MILLS, N.C. — A moped driver was killed Friday night when he collided with a van on U.S. Highway 301 north of Hope Mills in Cumberland County, authorities said.
Hugh Lee Snow Jr., 46, died on the way to Cape Fear Valley Hospital. The driver and passenger of the van were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The state Highway Patrol said weather and alcohol were not factors in the wreck. No charges had been filed as of Saturday.
