Moped driver killed in Wake County wreck
A 57-year-old moped driver was killed early Friday when a truck rear-ended him on Old Stage Road in Wake County, according to the state Highway Patrol.

WILLOW SPRINGS, N.C. — A 57-year-old moped driver was killed early Friday when a truck rear-ended him on Old Stage Road in Wake County, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Ricky Evans, of Willow Spring, died of his injuries after being taken to a local hospital, troopers said.
The truck hit the moped just before 8 a.m., and charges are expected against the driver. Authorities did not release that person's identity.
