CARTHAGE, N.C. — A Carthage nanny accused of stealing from her employers is facing her second arrest in as many months.

Moore County sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday that they received a report last week of larceny by employee in the Carthage area. A woman told investigators that her nanny stole items from her home while working.

Whitney Nicole Blackburn, 24, of the 100 block of Westview Road, was charged with felony larceny by employee. She was held at the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

Deputies said they arrested Blackburn April 19 on charges of felony forgery of instrument and uttering a forged instrument. Deputies said the charges were related to checks stolen while Blackburn worked as a nanny for a family in the Southern Pines area.
