A 60-year-old Moore County man has been arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery in connection with an incident on Tuesday, authorities said. 

<b>VASS, N.C.</b> — A 60-year-old Moore County man has been arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery in connection with an incident on Tuesday, authorities said. 

Donald Stover, of McKeithen Road in Vass, was taken into custody by the Moore County Sheriff's Office Tuesday after deputies received a report that he had engaged in indecent liberties with a 5-year-old.

Stover was in the Moore County jail Friday morning under a $1 million bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for May 24.
