Moore County Man Arrested in Reported Statutory Rape

On Monday Maria Lerma reported to the Moore County Sheriff's Office that her daughter, 15, had run away. Lerma said her daughter was possibly accompanied by a man from Aberdeen.

Sheriff's deputies said they found the juvenile near her mother's home.

Lerma reported a sexual assault after her daughter was evaluated at Moore Regional Hospital.

Detectives arrested Marco Antonio Flores, 20, of 103 Camberly Lane. Flores is charged with one count of statutory sexual offense committed by a person four to six years older than the victim.

Flores is being held in the Moore County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 16.
