Missing Fuquay-Varina man found in Smokies park

Rangers in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Tuesday found a young Wake County man who had been missing for five days.

GATLINBURG, TENN. — Rangers in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Tuesday found a young Wake County man who had been missing for five days.

Caleb McLoud Tutor, 20, of Fuquay-Varina, approached park visitors on Tuesday on Laurel Creek Road and asked for help, reported The Daily Times in Maryville.

Park spokesman Bob Miller said Tutor told the park visitors that he had escaped from kidnappers.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office confirmed that rangers had found Tutor, who had been missing since late April 14.

The sheriff's office is investigating.
