Missing Elderly Wilson Man Spotted in Washington

Wilson police on Friday were seeking information on a missing 82-year-old man.

WILSON, N.C. — A missing elderly Wilson man has been spotted around Washington in eastern North Carolina Saturday, authorities said.

Wilson police started searching for Wade Hampton Lamm, 82, of 5111 Country Club Drive North, Friday night.

Lamm was last seen at the BBT bank on West Nash Street around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Lamm is described as white, with a fair complexion and blue eyes. He stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He might be driving a 1997 white or gold Ford F-250 truck with North Carolina plate XVL-9980.

Washington is about 60 miles east of Wilson, down U.S. Highway 264.

A Silver Alert had not been issued in this case as of Saturday afternoon.

Anyone with information about Lamm's whereabouts is asked to call the local law-enforcement agency or the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323.
