Men rob Texaco store in Raleigh

Two men armed with handguns robbed a Texaco Mart convenience store on Lake Wheeler Road, near Tryon Road, around midnight Wednesday, Raleigh police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two men armed with handguns robbed a Texaco Mart convenience store on Lake Wheeler Road, near Tryon Road, around midnight Wednesday, Raleigh police said.

One man ordered a customer to get on the ground, while the other took an undisclosed amount of money from the register, police said. The men then fled.

No one was hurt.

Police said one man was black, about 20 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. He wore a royal blue hoodie that partially blocked his face.

The other was black, between 18 and 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 130 and 140 pounds. He wore a red bandanna and a cream hoodie partially blocking his face.
