Man with shotgun tries to rob Fayetteville Taco Bell

Fayetteville police are trying to identify a man who tried to rob a Taco Bell restaurant Monday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are trying to identify a man who tried to rob a Taco Bell restaurant Monday morning.

His face covered and carrying a shotgun, the man came into the Taco Bell at 2819 Raeford Road around 9:30 a.m., police said. The man couldn't find a manager and left the restaurant without taking anything.

Police described the man as young, between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall, with a medium to slim build. He was wearing a green polo shirt, white long-sleeved undershirt, khaki pants, dark shoes with white soles, and a dark hat with red graphics on the front. He also had on white gloves and a red bandanna covering his face.
