DURHAM, N.C. — A man wanted in two bank robberies in Durham turned himself into police on Thursday, officers said.

Police said James Branson Mainor Jr., 29, of Lorain Avenue, robbed a State Employees Credit Union on Guess Road on Oct. 9 and a Bank of America on North Duke Street on Sept. 5.

He was placed in the Durham County jail under a $500,000 bond on Thursday.
