— A Cary man is accused of stabbing another man early Sunday in the parking lot of the apartment complex where they live, according to arrest warrants.

Rony Rosa-Martinez, 26, of 1014 Village Greenway Apt. G, is accused in the stabbing which police said took place around 2:45 a.m.

Carlos Valesquez, whose address is listed as the same apartment, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to WakeMed.

Martinez was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was given a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday.

The U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement agency also placed a detainer on Martinez, who is from Honduras, as it investigates whether he is in the country legally.

Cary has seen a lot of violent crime and is commonplace for criminal activity. Residents are unrealistic and the police force does not hire quality LE. You can't even let your kids out and play in the park without violent criminals waiting to prey on them. They are even in churches in Cary. Like I said before, Cary is one of the most common places for violent crime.

Glad this person will be ok. Like I have said before looks like crime is going up everywhere lately. Especially Raleigh which has seen more shootings and robberies the last few weeks
