Man stabbed at Cary apartment complex

A Cary man is accused of stabbing another man early Sunday in the parking lot of the apartment complex where they live, according to arrest warrants.

CARY, N.C. — A Cary man is accused of stabbing another man early Sunday in the parking lot of the apartment complex where they live, according to arrest warrants.

Rony Rosa-Martinez, 26, of 1014 Village Greenway Apt. G, is accused in the stabbing which police said took place around 2:45 a.m.

Carlos Valesquez, whose address is listed as the same apartment, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to WakeMed.

Martinez was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was given a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday.

The U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement agency also placed a detainer on Martinez, who is from Honduras, as it investigates whether he is in the country legally.
