Man sought in Raleigh bank robbery

— Raleigh police are looking for a man in connection with a SunTrust Bank branch Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators said the man walked into the bank at 7320 Creedmoor Road shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and handed a teller a note demanding money.

He fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

The robber was described as a slender white man in his 50s to 60s, who was about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a white cap.

    I find it interesting that there are only 8 comments so far on the story. That's weird right?

    Here's another story that has nothing to do with the POTUS, yet there's a comment blaming him for the bank robbery. That's hilarious and sad at the same time.

    I have lived in many cities across the U.S. but have never seen as many bank robberies as in Raleigh......and most of the robbers don't get caught....I guess word is out that Raleigh is an easy place to rob banks.

    That's why I have advocated armed tellers for years. There would be a lot fewer robberies if these crooks knew they'd be up against serious firepower.

    I saw this going down after I got off work and there were 15 or more cops there. State Troopers, RPD, marked and unmarked. I understand it was a bank robbery but man there were a bunch sitting around doing nothing. Would have been a good time to rob a bank a few miles away.
