Man sought in Cary Doubletree robbery

CARY, N.C. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Cary hotel Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the robber was armed with a knife when he entered the lobby of the Hilton Doubletree at 500 Caitboo Ave., near Crossroads Plaza shopping center, shortly before 10 a.m., robbed the hotel clerk and fled on foot toward a nearby Target.

No one was hurt, police said.

The man was described as being white, about 6 feet tall and wearing a black shirt and pants and a white towel hiding his face. He might have had facial hair, investigators said.

Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
