ROSEBORO, N.C. — A Garland man has been charged with murder in an overnight shooting at The Peter Rabbit Club, outside Roseboro, the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators said Louis Franklin Highsmith Jr., 35, of 625 Garland Airport Road, got into a verbal altercation with Linwood Dion Rich, 26, of Salemburg, outside the club on Willie Brown Road around 12:30 a.m.
