A 29-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in east Durham.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A 29-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in east Durham.

Investigators identified the victim as Thomas George Docher Jr.

The shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Fidelity Drive. Detectives were asking anyone with information to come forward.

"It is not known at this time if the incident is random," the department said in a statement.
