A 50-year-old man was transported to the hospital after nearly drowning in a North Raleigh pool on Monday.

The man appeared to be playing with a group of children in the pool at the Tree Tops Apartments, at 1328 Steinbeck Drive, when he went under water and did not come up.<br />

The man’s name has not been released. His condition was not available Monday night.
