SPRING LAKE, N.C. — The Spring Lake Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a CVS pharmacy Monday.

Police said the man entered the store at 1137 N. Bragg Blvd. about 2:45 p.m. and approached the counter. He handed an employee a note that read, “I have a gun, give me every strength in Oxycodone and Opana...Hurry up and be quiet or I will shoot you."

The man fled with about 30 bottles of medication worth more than $7,000, police said. Witnesses said he got into a black, older model Honda Civic that was last seen heading north on Bragg Boulevard.

The man is described as a white male in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt, black sunglasses and a gray baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 855-770-8477.
