Man killed, three injured after fight at Greenville club

A Pitt County man was shot and killed and three others injured early Saturday during a fight that began in a downtown Greenville club and spilled out into the streets.

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Pitt County man was shot and killed and three others injured early Saturday during a fight that began in a downtown Greenville club and spilled out into the streets.

Police said someone fired gunshots near East Fourth and Evans streets around 1:30 a.m., striking four people. Dontae Montrel Haddock, 21, of Ayden, was pronounced dead at Vidant Medical Center. The conditions and identities of the three injured people have not been released.

Police said they were interviewing some witnesses, but many of them have been uncooperative.
