A Snow Hill man died in a wreck with tow truck that had stopped to assist a stranded motorist on U.S. Highway 70 in Goldsboro early Saturday, police said.

<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — A Snow Hill man died in a wreck with tow truck that had stopped to assist a stranded motorist on U.S. Highway 70 in Goldsboro early Saturday, police said.

A pickup truck driven by Perry Michael Lanier collided with the tow truck near the Berkerley Boulevard exit. Lanier was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the wreck investigation is ongoing.
