A man was killed Wednesday morning in a roofing accident in northern Moore County, said Sheriff Neil Godfrey. 

<b>PINEHURST, N.C.</b> — A man was killed Wednesday morning in a roofing accident in northern Moore County, said Sheriff Neil Godfrey. 

The victim, whose name was not released, was part of a crew putting a metal roof on a barn on Wilson Road. Around 10 a.m., part of the metal fell and hit the worker on the head. 

He was taken to a hospital in Pinehurst, where he died, Godfrey said.
