Man killed, woman hurt in Fayetteville shootings

Two people were shot in Fayetteville Sunday morning in separate incidents that left one man dead, police said.

Officers were called to a shooting near the intersection of West Rowan Street and Murchison Road around 2:20 a.m., where they found Adrian Leon McClain, 32, dead from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. 

About three hours later, a woman was shot in the leg inside a vehicle near Deep Creek Road and Shadbush Lane. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have not released any information suggesting the two shootings are related.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8447).

Convenient that they had a picture of him, isnt it? Just gotta wonder what if any prior history of 'interaction' with LEO's this guy had. Not a 'dog whistle'...just that there are sooo many pictures of these guys that die by gunfire, pictures that are probably NOT from getting their drivers license...

I thought the bad guys were going to give up their guns with gun control coming.

Guess not.
