Fayetteville, N.C. — Two people were shot in Fayetteville Sunday morning in separate incidents that left one man dead, police said.
Officers were called to a shooting near the intersection of West Rowan Street and Murchison Road around 2:20 a.m., where they found Adrian Leon McClain, 32, dead from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.
About three hours later, a woman was shot in the leg inside a vehicle near Deep Creek Road and Shadbush Lane. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have not released any information suggesting the two shootings are related.
