Man killed in Clinton house fire
A man died late Saturday when fire destroyed a home on Harper Street in Clinton.

CLINTON, N.C. — A man died late Saturday when fire destroyed a home on Harper Street in Clinton.
Emergency crews were called to the home shortly after 10 p.m. The victim, his daughter and grandson were inside the home at the time. Their names were not released.
The woman and child made it out safely and suffered minor smoke inhalation, officials said. They were being assisted Sunday by the Red Cross.
It's unclear what caused the blaze, but an investigation is ongoing.
