RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police say a man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run that shut down part of a major Raleigh roadway Wednesday night.

Police were called to Capital Boulevard near Calvary Drive around 8 p.m., where they found Edward Dean Trice, 50, who had been hit by a vehicle that was northbound.

The wreck shut down the northbound lanes of Capital Boulevard for about two hours.

Police said Thursday that Trice's injuries were not life-threatening.
