<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A man injured Saturday night after he was hit by an SUV has died.

David Hamilton, 24, was walking near Capital Boulevard and Spring Forest Road when a 2002 Ford Explorer hit him around 10:15 p.m.

Hamilton was taken with serious injuries to WakeMed, where he died Sunday, a WakeMed spokeswoman said.

Police said the investigation into the crash is still underway. Authorities did not release any other details about the case, including possible charges or who else was involved in the wreck.
