<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A 16-year-old was shot to death late night Wednesday in Durham, according to police.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Liberty and Elizabeth streets. Police officers in the area heard gunshots in the area and investigated.

While searching the area, officers were told that a person with a gunshot wound was taken to a local hospital. The person, identified as Torry Trueluck, died at the hospital.
