Man critically wounded in Fayetteville shooting

A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in a Fayetteville street early Saturday, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in a Fayetteville street early Saturday, police said.

Armendariz Evans was shot by an unknown person while standing in the 800 block of Stoneykirk Drive around 5:40 a.m., police said.

He was driven by personal vehicle to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery.
