Smithfield, N.C. — A man who tried to break up a fight outside a Smithfield business early Saturday remains on life support at WakeMed in Raleigh, authorities said Monday.

Gerald Luther Burton Jr., 38, was knocked to the pavement as he tried to intervene in a fight outside Hookah House, a coffeehouse and smoking establishment at 181 Venture Drive, authorities said.

Trenton Kyle Hensley, 19, of Old Beulah Road in Kenly, was charged with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

Authorities said the case remains under investigation.

Just Google search his name. I think 4 seperate arrest since 2010? Ranging from drugs to B&E. WRAL does not need to drop this story. Lots to be found here with a little research. Its time for people like this to stay behind bars! And a drug user at the Hookah Bar. Imagine that? Who would have thought such might be going on there?

Do not feel sorry for this "kid"! He has had plenty of run ins with the law. Do a little research into his back ground, He's not been out of jail long on other charges. The groupo he runs with are some of the worst in Johnston Co. If this man dies he should be charged with murder!
