Man charged with stealing 10 AC units
Rocky Mount police said they caught a 44-year-old man trying to steal an air-conditioning unit from a church Wednesday morning.
Posted — UpdatedOfficers arrested Alphonza Bullock while responding to a larceny in progress at Word Tabernacle Church, 577 Starling Way, shortly after 8 a.m.
Investigators said they linked Bullock to the theft of 10 other air conditioners in the Starling Way and Ravenwood Drive areas.
Bullock was charged with felony larceny in those cases and also served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. He was being held under a $55,800 bond.
According to state Department of Correction records, Bullock is serving probation stemming from 2008 convictions for traffic violations.
