Addition: Put them out working all day, and there would be less Bull going on in the prison at night.

Lock him up, and let him work out his room and board, and all the damages, we have roads to clean, bushes to cut, ditches that need digging,,, There are tons of work for these people to do,,, Sounds like a chain gang, watching the chain gangs work when I was small was a deterant then and would be today

Our NC Government has a lot on their agenda, ways to shut down gaming parlors, ways to help stop poultry processing plants that will create jobs, but it can not figure out a way to stop people from driving without insurance, Drivers license or while under the influence, creating havick for someone else, helllloooo, someone needs to look at the priorities

fl2cn2ca2md2nc: Having uninsured driver insurance works for vehicle owners involved in an accident caused by and uninsured driver but it doesn't work for someone whose property is damaged as happened in this case or for someone not in a vehicle (walking, standing, riding a bike, etc.).

People like this are why I have to buy uninsured motorist insurance. I believe insurance is on the vehicle, not the driver. So it sounds like it is either his car or he borrowed a car from another irresponsible person!

Question: Who owned the car that he was driving and did it have a current legal registration? If it was registered to him then there are perhaps problems within the DOT vehicle registration system, if it was registered to someone else, then that person ought to be automatically legally responsible for damages as well as for allowing his/her car to be driven by an unlicensed and uninsured driver.

People driving with no license and insurance make me livid. There should be some type of program to keep these types of the roads. They hit others and you're stuck paying for what they done because they have no insurance. It's ridiculous!

There's no option but to put him away for several years. He has no license, but drives anyway, so there's nothing to stop him from repeating, and possibly killing someone. Equate it with someone walking around shooting a gun. Eventually he's going to hit someone.
