    jackieflash42:

I owe you a sincere apology. I had you confused with another golo member called jackflash...minus the 42. I'm sorry if I offended you and next time will double check before I post something like that.

High bond? Didn't Uncle Kracker get like a 5 million dollar bond for grabbing a girls rear end in Cary?? There is no consistency anyway.

meg, I tend to agree with you on your statement. My opinion on the suspect was made because of such a high bond that was set for him. I find that somewhat unusual. But, it is very possible that his immigration status as you say, could very well play a huge role in this story that is not being reported. Good post on your part.

I don't understand why immigration status is not a normal part of reportage. The story is initiated based on the fact of a law being broken, if one is in this country illegally, its just another facet of law breaking--an additional fact further clarifies the picture. Er, isn't that what reporting the news is all about?

Oh yeah, by the way, my wife just read your post and found it to be fascinating. She said you must think i'm a racist towards Hispanics. Since she was born and raised in Veracruz, she is still laughing. Oh, Veracruz is in Mexico. It took her 5 years to get here legally and i'm proud of her. She is a hard worker just like most Hispanics are. However, if you want to suggest that I have an issue with illegal aliens who come here from Mexico, you are exactly right and I applaud you for your precise observation. But if you are suggesting anything other than that, then you should educate yourself on getting your facts straight before talking. Si?

free, first of all let me say that I am honored that you take time to see my posts. I appreciate that. However, i'm not quite sure why you have a problem with my statement concerning this particular story today. The suspect is Hispanic and thus, has a hispanic name. The bond that was set for him was extremely high regardless whether he was Hispanic, Black, White, etc. There has to be an aggravating circumstance(s) that would justify such a high bond. Would you agree with that? My opinion, is that perhaps he is illegal and they feel he could flee not only their jurisdiction, but the flee the country as well. If you don't like my opinion, I can assure you I have no problem with that. And I would love to debate you on any other issues that you have with me. Just let me know when you would like to do so and I will be here.

Jack: I've seen your posts too many times to know you would not suggest anyone other than someone with a Hispanic last name would be illegal. If yo con produce a post, please show it.

Thus, my argument DOES hold water.

I didn't try to go there with my statement....I went there.

  • jackieflash42 Jun 7, 2010

If his last name was Mufasa, Nyugen, or even Odenweller, AND his bond was a million dollars, I would suggest that they were probably illegal as well. Thus, your argument doesn't hold water. But I can see where you were trying to go with that statement.

  • freedomrings Jun 7, 2010

Hmmm. I wonder if his last name Mufasa, Nyugen, or even Odenweller if some would be as quick to question his immigration status? All are names prominent in other cultures/races and I can assure you people from these countries are also here illegally.

  • jackieflash42 Jun 7, 2010

He's probably *whispers quietly*..illegal. So they're just afraid he might not only skip town, but skip the whole country for that matter. Si?
