Man charged in theft of 338 DVDs from Red Box kiosks

A Creedmoor man was arrested in connection with the theft of 338 DVDs from Red Box kiosks, according to arrests warrants.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A Creedmoor man was arrested in connection with the theft of 338 DVDs from Red Box kiosks, according to arrests warrants.

Timothy Lee Rodwell, 43, of 703 Northern Falls Road, was charged with three counts each of felony larceny and misdemeanor breaking into a coin- or currency-operated machine.

The warrants state that DVDs worth at least $3,500 were stolen from three Red Box kiosks between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Wake Forest police investigated the thefts.

Rodwell was placed in the Wake County jail under a $50,000 secured bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Rodwell served two separate nine-month jail sentences for a 1999 burglary in Granville County and a 2005 break-in in Wake County, according to state Department of Correction records.
